Welcome friends and fanatics to another quick crystal related news article. Recently NASA have discovered something truly remarkable, It literally rains gemstones on saturn (diamonds to be specific) Heaven is longer a place on earth, it’s on saturn. We’re planning a trip up there so we can grab some free crystals and whilst we’re at it, do some meditation and reiki, while the diamonds rain down, can anyone give us a lift there?
New atmospheric data from the Cassini Probe, indicates that carbon is abundant in its crystal form in the atmosphere of Saturn. The scientists say that lightning storms will turn methane into carbon. When the carbon falls it hardens into larger chunks of graphite which eventually becomes diamonds. The findings were uncovered at the meeting of the Division for Planetary Sciences in Colorado. Talking at a conference, the American scientists said that these diamond “hail stones” eventually dissolve into a sea of liquid the toasty planet core.
So there’s free crystals on saturn? Take me there!
Doctor Kevin Baines, of Nasa’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, said the biggest diamond “hail stones” would be likely to be approximately a centimetre in diameter. “Big enough to put on a ring, although of course they would be uncut,”
Uranus and Neptune have long been thought to harbour free crystals. But Saturn and Jupiter were not thought to have suitable atmospheres.
Baines and Delitsky analysed the latest temperature and pressure predictions for the planets’ interiors, as well as new data on how carbon behaves in different conditions.
“The bottom line is that 1,000 tonnes of diamonds a year are being created on Saturn. People ask me – how can you really tell? Because there’s no way you can go and observe it. It all boils down to the chemistry. And we think we’re pretty certain,” added Dr. Baines.
Let’s get Metaphysical! – Diamond – What are the metaphysical properties of diamond?
A legend claims the God of Mines called his courtiers to bring together all the world’s known gems: Rubies, Sapphires, Emeralds, etc. etc., and he found them to be of all tints and colors and varying hardnesses. He took one of each and crushed them; he compounded them together, and declared, “Let this be something that will combine the beauty of all.” He spoke, and lo, the Diamond was born…pure as a dewdrop and invincible in hardness. Yet when its ray is resolved in the spectrum, it displays all the colors of the gems from which it was made.
A symbol of purity, the Diamond’s pure white light helps to bring our lives into a cohesive whole. It brings love and clarity into partnerships, bonding relationships. Diamond is a sign of commitment and fidelity, and instills trust to relationships and situations.
Though it is a gem of winter, the color of ice, Diamond is a crystal of Light; its high frequency energy is dispersed into flashing prisms of brilliant “fire” that typifies the sun.
It is a spiritual stone, a symbol of perfection and illumination, activating the Crown and Etheric Chakras. It enhances inner vision and stimulates creativity, imagination, and ingenuity, opening the mind to the “new” and “possible.” Placed on the Third Eye, a Diamond encourages psychic development, and is a valuable tool for remote viewing, telepathic communication and clairvoyance.
